May and June are important member retention months.  Our Rotary International President Gordon McInally calls for "Rotary to be known as an organization that takes care of its members".  Now is the time to act - reach out to all your members for connection, care, and simply good company, for a cup of tea/coffee, a nice neighborhood walk, a Happy Hour, or a caring "how are you really?" We are Family of Rotary!
Your best cheerleader,
Hung (Wei)

Creating a Welcoming Culture – Announcing the Launch of the District Diversity,
Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Web Content
The District’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee sent an email to all District Rotarians recently announcing the launch of their web content on the District web site. You can reach this information here. We highly recommend clubs review this content and if you’re not already talking about DEI in your club, start the conversation. Rotary International has made DEI a focus since 2019, recently elevating their DEI Advisory Group to Rotary's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Council that reports to the RI Board of Directors and RI Trustees. We believe that it is important to be more intentional about incorporating the DEI principles of creating a culture of welcoming. All Rotarians and those we touch should feel that they belong; this is key as our clubs and district continue to evolve. Please contact the DEI Committee if you have any feedback or questions, would like them to come visit your club, or have someone you’d like to put forward as a potential committee member.
