We recently held a Public Image Workshop on Tuesday, January 19th on Press Release Writing and Media Relations.  It was well attended, and we showcased the tools District clubs’ public image chairs can use to write up their stories and share with their respective community newspapers and online papers, such as The PATCH.com.

We talked about the 5 W’s of Press Release writing and best practices.

The most important tool of course, is the new District Public Image Guidebook, which is a digital file, and easy to use – and access the key areas of Public Image – they are:

Branding, Public Relations, Website and Social Media.

You can download the guidebook by visiting our District website at www.rotarydistrict5170.org and it is located on the home page and also in the Public Image sections.

We also worked with several clubs that needed support in press release writing and issuing their stories which you will see below  and placed in their local PATCH.

Our next workshop coming up in February (Date to be announced) will focus on “How to write a Club Communications Plan”.   Stay tuned for more details on that!
