For a Rotary Club to be effective, the key lies in its members! Without members, there is no Club - without effective members, a Rotary Club can not be effective.

The leadership team in a Club may strategize in membership development and retention, however, if members of the Club do not feel a sense of ownership and belonging, all the strategies will not be effective.

It is the Club leaders’ responsibility to create the following Club culture – Get members involved; Give members responsibility; Create a sense of belonging; Build trust; Acknowledge success and effort; Communicate well and regularly.

In turn, Club members will then develop a sense of commitment to participate in Club events and projects, which cultivates a sense of ownership.  This then creates a Club culture of sharing expertise, responsibility, and accountability.  Club leadership team and Club members work together in creating a sense of giving, whether it is time, talent, effort, and/or money!  This atmosphere of togetherness and all-around camaraderie is the key factor of an effective Rotary Club.

Our District has close to 4000 members – when 4000 members work together to Grow Rotary, we will attract talents and resources in Growing Rotary Impact together!
