This is a listing of the District Awards that recognize Rotarians that go above and beyond what is expected.

The Sydney R. Mitchell Award
Named for the first District Governor, District 5170, awarded to the outstanding Rotarian or Club in District 5170.

 

The Carl G. Orne Award
Named for the 1986–87 District Governor, awarded to the individual who makes the greatest personal commitment to world peace and understanding.

 

The Mike Kutsuris Award
Named for the 1974–75 District Governor, R.I. Director 1981-83, and General Chairman of the 1998 R.I. Convention. Awarded to the individual or club who has been most successful in membership development during the Rotary year.

 

The Richard D. King Award
Named for the 1982–83 District Governor, R.I. Director 1989-91, Trustee of the Rotary Foundation 1997–99, and 2001–02 President of Rotary International. Awarded to the individual who makes the greatest personal commitment to the programs of The Rotary Foundation.

 

The Allan McLeod Award
Awarded to the individual who has made the greatest personal commitment and contribution to the Interact Clubs of District 5170, by furthering the programs of Rotary International through young people in high schools. 

 

The Neal J. Hoffman Award
Named for the 1998–99 District Governor, awarded to the most outstanding younger Rotarian in the district who has shown exemplary leadership skills in their club and/or the district. To qualify for this award the recipient must be no older than 45 at the time the award is received.

 

The David A. Heagerty Award
Named for the 1992–93 District Governor, awarded to the individual who has made the greatest personal commitment to the promotion and public image of Rotary.

 

The Ward Garing Award
Named for Ward Garing in recognition of his long-time service to Youth Exchange and Rotary, awarded for extensive service beyond the Club level with commitment and dedication to the youth programs of Rotary.

 

The Carolyn Schuetz Award
Named for the 1996–97 District Governor, awarded to the individual or club for outstanding training or education of Rotary.

 

The Karl Stucki Award
Named for the 2000–01 District Governor, awarded to the Rotarian who exemplifies the greatest contribution to Rotary ideals.
